Cheras Aquarium - Caution Can't Post

For the Menbers of the Koi Club Of Malaysia, this if FYI.
For other Hobbist and customers, please be cautioned.

During the visit to the WTC on Sat, I had interest in the 35 bu Sanke that won best in size. Richard from Cheras aquarium (owner) had wanted to sell it and he brought me to the tank to view the fish.

I visited his shop on Sunday at noon and through his brother called Richard on his mobile to negotiate. The deal was comfirmed and we are to collect the fish on Monday afternoon after which we will take it back to Singapore. A friend who was at the Show on Sun afternoon also verified this when he spoke to Richard about the fish.
However, when we were there yesterday, he said that he had sold it to someone else instead.
This has clearly shown dishonesty in business. We have therefore also cancelled several other purchases as well.
This is an unpleasant experience for us.
I do hope that all hobbist will take caution whrn buying from them and I do hope that it does not happen to you.

Hi,

fully agree with what you have done. Such actions leave a very bad after-taste.

Maybe you want to post in Singapore b/b so that Spore friends who do not visit here are also aware of this.

Cheers!

It is bad that such action come from a reputable koi dealer in KL. They have been dealing with Professionals and they therefore is expected to act professionally.

If they are professional, could it be a misunderstanding then? Maybe some good souls from KL may like to find out more about this issue. What about MKC?

Early last year, I visited Cheras and also met Richard. He seems professional to me and I bought quite abit of stuff from him including 2 shiro Utsuri. Did he really looses his business ethic or maybe could there be a misunderstanding on the sale???

If only Richard could reply that will be good. Also if someone from KL could give him a ring and ask him to respond to this forum please!

Cheras Aquarium - Caution [In reply to] Can't Post

Hello ,
I have read the note from SenMin about the Cheras Aquarium. This comes as a big suprise as i know Cheras Aquarium for the last 15 years and i really don't believe this happened on purpose,This might be a misunderstanding between the buyer and the seller.
But i will get the bottom of this as Cheras Aquarium is one of our big supporter of our
club. And so far, nobody or members of our club have had a complain about Cheras Aquarium as the business ethic is very good.
And they are very professional, which most of the time they deal with most expensive Koi's.

Regards,
HansHam

Dear Mark, Mr. KK Lee Hans Ham and all friends,

It is clearly no mistake as i was with another with 2 other persons beside me when the deal was concluded on Sunday afternoon in Cheras Aquarium, one of which i believe was his brother.

When we confronted Richard on Monday, he did not defend himself in anyway, we even gave him a moment to repent when we went across the road for lunch but, it seems that he not trust worthy.

He may be a big dealer, but what good does it do he they are of such character? Now, if they tell you that a fish is from a particular origin, would tou believe him?
I know i Wouldn't.
