Koi addicts gathering	Can't Post

To fellow koi addicts, You are welcome to come to my place in the Subang USJ area for an evening of fellowship and makan on Sat October 19 from 5.00pm. It will be a DIY BBQ affair. ie you bring your own famous marinated meat( no pork,beef)/ Seafood, salads,etc. I will provide some food and drinks . Then we can watch some Vcds and talk koi all night.You are free to bring your favourite vcd to share( must be koi related only otherwise they will be confisicated for my private viewing) Those interested pls email me with your full name and contact number

I shall be coming with my wife and perhaps my mom (she appreciates beautiful ponds and gardens too) and a fellow koi member from Klang. That's 4 of us. We'll bring along some chicken wings, frankfurters etc.

I guess people may have thought that it is for koi addict only. Rather than all Forum members.

Maybe a another open invite would create more interest.

OK gathering now open to lovers.

HOT NEws: I have tentatively invited a reputable koi dealer who does quite a bit of koi treatment for customers to come show us how to diagnose fish infection, do scrapes and use the microscope to identify the bacteria etc. He will probably also give general coverage of various common koi diseases as well.

I will only confirm with him if we have a decent response.

That is certainly an added bonus! Hwong, as mentioned I will be bringing my wife and mom and another koi kaki from Klang so that's already 4 of us!

To the rest of the koi forum members, do not miss this opportunity. You get to see a very nice looking pond and good looking kois and at the same time get to learn about diseases and how to use do a scrape and use the microscope.

You will also get to meet the regular forum members like Dr Tan and yours truly.

Kindly send your confirmation to Hwong now so that he can get the koi dealer to come. A small number would not be too nice for him to turn up. If I remember correctly, we will be having BBQ and also watching kois VCDs after the meal.

So, Matthias, slim, Newgen and all the rest, don't be last minute but send your confirmation to Hwong by end of this month latest. He needs to prepare for food etc. so don't make it difficult for him and his wife.

I really hope to see all of you there and that includes our S'pore members, Philippines and the rest of the world. Hopefully, Webmaster Khoo will be able to make it as well!

Hi HWONG ,

I think one of the reason of weak response is due to the section that you posted this invitation . I am sure the response will not be the same if it is in the 'Members pond ' or 'General' section where many koi lovers frequently visit.

Wow, i never knew i get attention just by posting problems/ issues to get the koi addicts thinking or to stimulate their emotional aspect of koi keeping- you know with problems and grievances over what were lost due to inexperiences and ignorance by others.

How about ikan and sotong with spice gravy and wrapped in aluminium foil and BBQ over to heat it up Laugh

and served with white rice- what do u think?? It is real hot and its a good way to spice up the night and if there is not enough, i am sure Hwong will donate the pot-bellied kois to supplement if he has already gave it away. Cool

well i hope i am in - johnson pl send reminder in due time- very tight schedule in the office- you know -budget time for next year.

for the time being, i will be a lone ranger there- tonto and the little indians may prefer to stay at home.

Eh, Webmaster Khoo, Tategoi means koi to be kept with a promise for the future. I have plenty of them. Pot-bellied ones, poor patterned ones. slender ones- all currently kept hoping for a better future. Sly

Some I even kept in the sky hoping they will reincarnate in my pond. No Tategoi on the menu lah but I plan to BBQ one large Kurau.

As for the response, no sweat lah. A small and manageble group of enthusiasts will be more than nice. Since I managed to invite a sifu,(by the way he is a dealer and some people may not like it) I thought it would be good to take advantage of the opportunity to learn how to take care of our living jewels. I was just reminded that I should increase the magnification to 500X. I hope to be able to hook up the microscope to the TV via a digital camera as well.

Yes, don't worry about publicity. Dr Tan and myself will be busily promoting this do on behalf of Hwong. I supposed the invite was posted in the less accessed section causing many members to be unaware of this tantalising koi pond visit.

Slim, My supplier is suppose to come next week and hand deliver the unit. If there is no change in his intenerary, we should be using the unit.

hey all im just wondering what Malaysia is like. I live in the usa and it seems quite different. Could you explain why you speak english and why you live in compounds? Mabye im just missing the point but it seems like its way diferent than here in the usa??

Hi, Malaysia is a tropical country in South East Asia. Like our neighbours (Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Brunei, Phillipines), English is widely spoken here besides the mother tongue. Over here, most houses with gardens tend to fence up their compounds for privacy and security reasons. Life here is not really very different from that in the States. Glad you like the koi forum. We're ever ready to help in any matter pertaining to the hobby. Cheers. Smile
