Hi Tao

Just as simple as that. can you show how it did in your pond? I was also planing to make a diy venturi but didnt find any materials for it, now i cant place a venturi in my pond coz its 80% done. Maybe on my next pond construction i will have a venturi. Thanks for sharing the diagram.

Hinz101,

Actually I use it during PP bombing. On day-to-day, I let water flow on the surface. Venturi can cause injury especially during netting. Pls. see the pic during PP bombing.

Hi Tao

It worked great! I wish I could have constructed one but it's too late already. Thanks for sharing the pix. I would really follow you diy venturi on my next pond.

Hi Koifishgirl,

Pls. read
http://www.koi.com.my/forum/Koi_Health_C5/Fish_Medication_F9/Why_I_think_constant_PP_bombing_is_a_good_idea_P7330/
It is potassium permanganate bombing with hydrogenperoxide. Do you live in Georgia US? How much for a good koi there?

Re: [koifishgirl] Air Venturi DIY [In reply to] Can't Post

Oh thats such a coincidence Tao! Im also about the embark on another venturi for my third pond :D using the exact same materials:

*2inch pressure PVC pipe T-piece with threaded T-piece area (the place where the venturi pipe goes in.
*1inch threaded cap (to be modified to fit 1inch pressure PVC pipe).

I want to ask some questions:

*Was the venturi pipe cut at 45degrees where the 1inch pipe is inside the larger pipe that carries the water?
*What flow rate are you running through the venturi?

Thanks in advance,
Benny

Hi bkk A small koi of good quality around her is about 30 dollars for a fish 4inches in size. Yes I live in Ga. Any larger talking 80 bucks and up. The last fish I purchesed is about 15 inches and I paid 400 dollars for him. He is a scaleless koi and dont know what kind he is still trying to find out . He said he is a Kumomru but its not.

*What flow rate are you running through the venturi? In the picture, I used submersible pump at 320 ltr/min. which is actually fit to 1.5 inch pipe (too small for 1 inch pipe). But for PP Bombing, I need water flow and also dissolved oxygen.

Thanks in advance,
Benny

Wow! Not too expensive if it is a quality one. Here, import from Japan is more expensive than local breeded. The new one is doisu?
