DIY UV Can't Post
dear friends,

am currently using a china made 9 Watt UV running 7-24 (infact, changed one time from the supplier, the same problem now). One day, found that that adaptor cum ballast runs out of shape due to heat! So posting a question here and surely one of you done it before:
"How to get DIY a UV lamp, 12 to 18 Watt, that run 7-24"
Kindly explain with simple skecth showing wiring, ballast and lamp connection. Any special specicifaction for the balllast that light a UV?

Also, how UV wattage related to tank gallonage for one to clear water overnight? (many says it's possibleSly, but never experience it myselfUnsure)

10 watts for every 1000 gallons. but always round up

for example, 1300 gallon pond ... use 20 watts

my 30w UV suggests NO MORE than 1000gph.
so im guessing a 10w UV is 300gph (but the slower the better)
