DIY Venturi Can't Post

Hi,

I had just made a Venturi but there is a problem. The venturi need to be place quite high (almost near to the surface)in order the produce the small bubbles. When i submerge down (at the bottom) the venturi, there is no bubbles, only the water flowing out.

Is it possible to place the venturi down at the bottom and at the same time produce huge amount of bubbles??

anyone can help?

thanks

Re: [iantong] DIY Venturi [In reply to] Can't Post

Hello Ian Tong,

As a previous user of venturis, I can attest to your frustration and note that the same has occurred in my past experiment.

If you wish to place the venturi very deeply, you'll need to increase the amount of water flowing past the venturi to get anything useable. Often you'll find that you'll need a substantially larger water pump.

Your best option is an airpump pushing air through a diffuser or air stone, or even a spray bar from your current water outlet.
