DiY mini Drum Filter Need help. Can't Post

Anyone that has made these drum filters I'm going to need help. I'm Going to get a 240 Gal Tank for Xmas And want to make a Mini drum filter like Koi38 or Similar. But the Stump if u want to call it. Is going to be Under the tank. Which i think will cuz overflow right? How can i go about this not happing. Match the pump with the flow? as in high gal pumps this way the last drum or the first wound over flow. i have to toss out the hole pond level idea. or should i just make one little Stump?

Im going to have to hide it under the tank in side the cabinet. Which i think is only about 3 feet tall... Im thinking of getting 18g rubbermaid bins 2 or 3 as many as i can fit. but im more worred about over flow... Or this wound happen cuz if the water is beeing pumped out of the tank by a line which comes up and out of the water down into the bins. It wound PORE into the first bin? thats all i realy need to know
