New guy, hi all Can't Post

Hello to everyone,
I have had kois now about 5 years. just built a new pond about 3 years ago 2000 gal with a fish mate 3000 filter to my waterfall.
also with a 2000 gal. per hr. pump
Not really sure just what type of koi i have also have 2 of the 10 gold fish which are in from when i started the pond, i will post some pictures so i might get some answers. but just over the summer i did find out im now an owner of 4 little ones now about 4" long each. must have had them for some time and didn't even know
my first question of many to come is this.
one baby looks like a koi yellow gold with black, the other 3 are just lite black color. are they gold fish or will the color change on themCrazy
Well, like i said i will be asking a lot of questions, hoping to get a lot of answers.
Oh, one other question.
i had put 3 pond lettuce plants in this summer and it has taken over the pond, 100 + i would guess??? also (4 large Lilly's plants. they stay in all winter)
it has done its job for the summer and now winter is on its way when do you think i should remove it all. I don't think it should stay in the pond all winter. It does freeze over except where the pond heater is.
The pond is only 30" deep but all the older koi make it every year. Not to sure what i should do with the baby's this winter? humm yet another question.
Well thank you in advance for any help.
Hope to gain a lot of info from you all
Chris.
