Rain water problem... Can't Post

greetings,

Currently im having prob with my pond. As i upgrade new material to the filters.

1) chamber one BRUSH
2) chamber 2 CORALS
3) Chamer 3 FILTER MEDIUM SPONGE
4) Chamber 4 Plants

it was fine for 1 week till it rained. heavy rain and next day water turned green.
walls started to have green and brown growth.

question

1) Filter position material wrong?
2) Filter doesnt reach maturity level?
3) Rain water enhanced the green growth and water turn green?

kindly advice

since ur pond is new (assumed), quickly get a UV installed, get those summersible type. Depending on size of your pond, get the correct wattage. That will immediately resolve your problem.

Hi aryan,

Your pond water volume r 1800liters, but u have 18pcs kois in there.. i think tat was over stock.
I hav questions here,
Did u test yr water parameter - PH, nitrate and ammonia?
How many do u feed to yr kois?
What is yr water pump capacity?
How u arrange for yr filter chamber - is tat u pump water from pond to 1st chamber then 2, 3, and 4?
Do u hav space from the bottom for the filter media?
Do u already install the uv light? how it work?

Algae bloom may cause by many thing.
Did u read my thread post? i hav the same problem bothering me for a long time. It was cause by over feed, top up water with out anti chlorine and etc.
Sorry for so many question, I m a still newbie.. just want to know more about yr pond.
