Small filters? Can't Post

Im going to be building a quarintene pond (at least i think) before I build my main pond... It will probably be 5x3 or 4x3 at a depth of 2 ft deep (my actual pond will be MUCH deeper) And I want to DIY my own filters... I dont need those huge drums for my filters, I was looking for something smaller that was cylindrical and held about 2 or 3 gallons... I would put about 3 or 4 of these in succession...

The pond will be grav. fed and will have a bottom drain... and it will be made with a liner, not out of concrete or anything...

I also need help on a pump... Is there a cheap pump that I could get somewhere that will do the job? even if it isnt nessissarily a "pond" pump....

thank you!
Tanks!
