will silicone work to glue in the rocks to the liner? will mortar stick to the liner? someone told me to use "great stuff" insulating foam. The pond foam seems quite expencive 20 bucks a can so im trying to avoid using this.Unimpressed

Hi, you may try with silicone if both surface of the stone/rocks and the liner is smooth, make sure the surface is dry before you apply the silicone, try to glue 1 or 2, let it dries and try to let the water run trough it to see whether the stone can stay or fall-off. Never use glue stick, last time I spent a couple of hours to glue some stone on a plastic basket, it looks okay before I let the water flow through the stone, once it was wet, in 2 hours time, all stones fell-off Crazy.
