Cuda, not a problem. I installed a large Savio skimmer and biofall in May to a new pond. What I did was fill the pond to the height you want, mark it on the liner with chalk or an oil chalk type pencil....whether a new or older pond and siphon off a couple of feet of water so you can dig in the location where you want the skimmer just behind the liner. This siphoning of the water reduces the pressure on the liner when you have sunk the skimmer to the proper depth matching up with your marked line on the liner close to where you will install your skimmer. Once your skimmer box is level side to side and slightly lower in the front than the back, backfill the earth and grade up to your skimmer box so the liner can sit smoothly, make sure you give yourself a couple of inches of excess liner below your cut opening to the skimmer...follow the instructions and silicone well around the cut liner and skimmer hardware......wait a couple of hours and refill your pond to the previous height you marked so the top of the skimmer opening is approx 3/4 inches below the top of that skimmer opening. It sounds more difficult than it is just make sure you silicone well to stop any future leaks from this area and make sure you backfill and tamp well to reduce settling of the soil around the skimmer box making it uneven from side to side remembering to have approx 1/4 inch drop from the front of the skimmer to the back. Good Luck! Rowly
