cat fish Can't Post

seems like someone threw a couple of cat fish in my pond.......can anyone tell me if they will harm the koi or chinese shark fin that I have...

Hey,

What species of catfish are those? If they are same size as your koi's, I don't think your koi's will become food. About disturbing them, don't think so. Hehe, hilarious to hear someone would threw catfish into your pond.

BTW, if they are in good size, you can always have them for dinner! Smile

Bad idea. all catfish has bony spikes in its dorsal and pectorial fins. during feeding, your koi can easily get spiked since catfish are aggressive feeders.

Its really not too bad of a concern as long as its the same size as your koi or smaller, I have one and it is not aggressive and how could it be considering it really cant see all it can do is come up along the side of the pond and hope it runs into some food, I normally drop it right above him, and if a koi ever bumps into him he just swims back down for a second.
