how to make a DIY electric fence? Can't Post

Does anyone know how to make a DIY electric fence, do we have any skilled electricians that can do the trick?

The fences that i can buy are to exspensive, almost 200 dollars.

if no one knows how to build one, can anyone refer me to a cheaper one?

hey eric i dont know how to make an electric fence but be careful about water spraying on the electric fence going into the pond i hope that made sense or heres a diagram

the electricity will travel through the water out of hose and well, will shock your fish i think..but i guess it will be low voltage but high enough to shock the fish

you can tell i was bored, thats why i did the drawing

Thanks Marshall

Careful you take into mind Council regulations, because if you eletrocute someone besies yourself you'll be facing a lot of legal trouble.

Use a net, its ugly, but it does its job, and the fish never jump out, or get attacked by predators.

If you have frogs in your pond and you like them, don't use an electric fence. Even a low voltage model will make them very crispy every timeShocked. I know this for a fact from using one around a garden.

Hey Lilhelper,

This is not a DIY. However, this unit cost only $140. If you are going to a fence check out this website.

My vote is for a net too. Cost less, easier to setup, low maintenance, and environment firendly!
