Interesting....can not wait to see the detail....

Last year I've created one similar skimmer with PVC pipe and PET bottle as the collection bowl. It run for the first few days, some brown color bubbles were collected in the bottle, but later I had difficulties to adjust it to the correct height, put it too low, only water collected in the bowl, put it too high, then no protein collectedMad. Finally gave-up Pirate

Hi Edo,

I think you have describe the major frustration of those of us who use protein skimmers. There is no one fixed skimming level. We have to make constant adjustment if we want our skimmer to skim properly. The introduction of food also drastically reduce skimming acidity, some say it is due to ph change. It is a constant struggle.
