spots on head Can't Post

Hi all I have a bunch of baby koi and a lot of them are white and have a black stop in the center of their head. Does anybody know if that black spot will stay or is it just their brains showing through or will they turn all white?

I do not know why young fish have that spot in the center of their head, but I do know that it will go away.

Ohhh, my baby fish has one but it is going away you can see it still a bit in this picture. It is a butterfly koi notice that its fins are nearly as long as the kohaku's? Lol. I also have a black baby butterfly.

Hello koifishgirl, the liner is black but we have a short layer of velvet-like algae covering it. We have rocks about 2 inchs in diameter on bottom which I am removing this weekend, while my stepdad is gone. I know the rocks are bad because the water is not running through them and feces is accumulating between them. You do have a Sony Mavica if I am not mistaken? I take my pictures in very sunny weather with no flash, the reason my pictures are so good is because I take a 100 and keep only about 10 and keep on doing this until I have about 30 then I edit them and show 'em off to my family and you guys. My parents were considering buying me a digital camera this october because of all the pictures I take but truly I take so many because I want to get the best ones. SmileSmileSmile

P.S Aragorn there are some exceptions to the rule i'm sure. Your fish is going to keep that spot.
P.P.S. Pleco (suckerfish) pictures coming soon they are big!

Re: [ChoobKoiOwner] spots on head [In reply to] Can't Post

yea, i guess so. i asked that same question here last feb.

anyway, i take hundreds of pics too! only about a handful are useable every time
i bought a better camera to cut the time of waiting for the flash. i can now shoot continuously

i used to have a canon ixus 400 (4megapix)
now i have the canon 300d (6megapix)
