I was just thinking of starting a page for us Canadians! You beat me to it!

So, how did we all make out this winter? How did you run filters and bubblers. I made out great this year! No problems at all (so far!). It got as low as -36 here in Ontario and I was hoping my pond wasn't going to freeze solid! Im just starting to get pond back in shape now.

Does anyone out there know the best way to get rid of the long green algae that grows on the bottom? It seems to be taking over the floor of my pond.

Hello there from Richmond, BC. I'm fairly new to Koi and just loving it lot's. You might want to check out Big Al's in Richmond as they just received a new shipment of Japanese Koi. There's quite a few to choose from but alot of the rarer ones are non-existent. Prices are fairly decent. We were also in Surrey at Art Knapps and they have quite a few fish but then again, you have to sit and watch for a good few minutes to see if there is anything you might like to add to your Koi collection. Are you willing to drive to the Strathroy area for Koi ? You will find the cheapest plants and fish around. No gin rin koi but all others, Butterfly and reg. Ask for Peggy at (519) 245-2843. Till 8pm.
