Cheap Tancho Can't Post
Sorry! I've just sent this to the wrong section.

I bought an awfully cheap 10 inch Tancho today with a good milky white body and a perfectly symmetrical heart shaped red marking. Perfect in every way except the belly is quite fat! Is it pregnant or is that a defect? Worse still, can it be harbouring
tapeworms? It's not dropsy I suppose as the scales and eyes are quite normal. Hope you can help.

Are you able to post a pic. of the fish belly. At this point in time, its diff. to give correct comments.
A normal 10inches koi has not reach its adult stage to get pregnant and I don't think your koi is pregnant. It could be a case of fat tissue overtime fed with fatty food like catfish chow or other none nutrient food or food that has long expired from its intented date for use.
