Growth By Nature

I was in Hong Kong where i meet the vice president of Hong Kong Koi Association,Mr Lo K M.According to his experience koi needs to "grow by nature" meaning that do not over-grown the fish.ie the size have to be in accordance to the age.For example, for example it is not healthy to a one year old kid that carries a five years old body. When this apply to koi,it will be like(1)Un-healthy due to obesity(too fat).(2)Defect in body shape due to weak bone structure not able to support the body.(3)Weak HI-color as the color goes along with the age of the fish rather than size. As for the FISH DIET,His opinion is "A BIT OF EVERY THING"i guess this means a balance diet.Too much of rich food may cause "high cholestro"???????Perhap heart attack Ha ha just joking.Too much color food may cause color deformity in the body Hi.His Fish daily diet is "vegetable" he regards the LONG WHITE CABBAGE is the best cause high in protein. For the pond design, apart from the essential filter requirement. He suggest to have a pump that form a strong current to enable a active water movement and a place for the fishes to do EXERCISE as fish likes to swim against it . The above is some friendly comment from a new friend i meet.if there is any that the fellow member think is not right, please don't take it seriously. Regards. dave
