Me A Silly Koi Owner ?!? Can't Post

Well, never thought i'd to look for KOI website eventhough i have 8 of them for about 2 years now. The whole story you are about to read still sounds crazy even for me Blush .. anyway .. it all begins with ... my waste exit pipe has been leaking for the past one mth ...& my water bill still rising...

I always learn my lesson the painful way Pirate.. end 2004 was this ... was recommended a construction fella who's supposingly good in garden/pond features. As i am alone, i didn't monitor the whole renovation as often as it should be (BIG mistake). All i ever wanted was a small water feature in one corner of my garden. In the midst of the construction, I found a rectangle pond (size of a grave Mad) already cemented & i "swallowed" it with anger.. next came a giganto _____ which i don't even know the proper term - i guess it's a filter system (Onga brand). Then, the so-called fantastic submersible pump went bust in 6 mths & i'd to pay for another one because as with most contractors, he disappeared from the face of earth!!!

Now, i didn't know at all that so many things must be done with regards to Koi rearing till i read this website. Again, this was due to contractor telling me that i don't have to do anything except for just turning the filter system to "reverse wash" every 2 weeks & FEED the fish of course Wink .. and that's all i've been doing for the last 2 years till now .. pond is empty of anything except my 8 kois & water which i just squeeze drops of chlorine once in awhile if i remember. When new, i put in some water plants but they were all chomped away faster than the plants can grow (just like what i read in the other thread) Shocked I bought this at RM7-8/ea when they are 6 inches & 4 of them hv double their sizes ... originally 9 but one died of "heart attack" coz by my #1 enemy - C A T S Tongue .. one should see my look when i saw a cat perched on the side of the pond Laugh

Sigh ... back to my problem which i don't know what's the problem .. the exit pipe been trickling water .. the pond has been waterproofed .. so it's not the pond and moreover when pump switch OFF at nite, no water trickling ...

I've been calling the 2nd pump installer to come by but he sounded not interested & also partly i stay in a "only god knows Y i stay so far" - Shah Alam 2 area. So, if anyone in Kuala Lumpur know of any help at all, i reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee ally appreciate it...cheers Smile

p/s Will take photos & post ASAP

Please don't do that ever again! You don't want chlorine in the pond water at all!

Wink hello, still haven't solve the water trickling problem !! Anyway, i tried to upload photo of my "huge" filter but not successful ! I think the filter needs servicing since in operation for 2-1/2 years now. It's ONGA brand .. trouble is can't find the service company for it. Any help would be much appreciated.
