Hi Koi lover101 You can do what we did. Take those landscape timbers, with long nails. You stack them and nail the timbers to each other, making a big square. Then you get a good liner and lay that inside the wooden landscape timber or huge box that you made. Nail that liner down and you can place another timber on the top of the liner. Finishes this off great. Don't forget you need old carpet to put down before you start building up your walls. Then put a pump in the pond that has a hose going up to a box, that has a hole or two to allow the building up of water to flow back into the pond. You need to put filter material in this box, have what is called bulk heads to attach the hose from the pump. Then, just angle your box so that enough water flows out of this box. We found our how to make these from a young man that sold imported koi. We use this system and it works find. Now you have a place to put your female with 2 or 3 males. Also use some material for her to prompt her to lay her eggs. We use the mats from air conditioners. It comes with new air conditioners, just make sure that it doesn't have any paper or metal rods in the mats. If the mat has metal rods, you can just pull them out. We go and get it free from an air conditioner installer. Works great as a filter also. Just have to double or triple it up. Good luck. Lynda & Al
