Hi......many experience koi keepers & even judges & expert have told me that koi changes colour & pattern when they grow from 3-5inch & bigger...!!!...Its your luck & way that u must try to tackle to choose them......!!..."ugly can become beauty" & "beauty might become ugly"......these sentence really makes me headace when i choose koi.....anyone have better idea & ways of choosing young kois between 3-5 inch????...besides buying tatakoi......
