WINNIPEG & AREA - 4 lrg koi Can't Post

4 large koi free to a good home. These fish were rescued from a daycare where they were being horribly neglected but I simply do not have anywhere near close to enough space for them. 2 are 'butterfly' & the other two I believe are called 'mixed' (they look like the 'butterfly' sans long dangly fins). The largest one measures approximately 2feet in length and the smallest measures approximately 1foot. They are pretty friendly after they have spent a few days with you & like to be petted. I am able to deliver.

Winnipeg, like the subject line says. However it looks like I have found someone to take them, thankfully.

Hi -- yes, I am in Winnipeg. I haven't officially given the koi away, but I've been contacted by a pet store in the area that says they are able to take them. This isn't a done deal though, so if you have adequate space for them and would like to take them (I'd prefer they weren't seperated which is why I'm a tad apprehensive about giving them to a store) then you can let me know.

you should give it to some one will appreciate them, not a pet store, that will make money off of them.

I'm with lilhelper. Even a mediocre koi of this size would be very profitable to the pet store. I'm a capitalist pig who believes profit is a good thing, but reaping a large profit for nothing is an unethical business practice.
I don't know if you are familiar with it, but "freecycle" is a websource where you might find a home for them. We found a home for some of our koibabies that way. (they became a birthday gift for a new grandmother who loves fish)
