Hi! Mark, The center koi definitely is a Karasugoi. For chaigoi, understand when young, tends to be green especially for Doitsu type. Different types I'd come across = Dark brown, Light brown, Reddish brown, metallic type - Kin chaigoi, Gin chaigoi, Nezu chaigoi. Greyish type is called Soragoi. Grey + brown = Ochiba-Shigure. I'd presently a Gin Chaigoi from Summer Farm, at 50cm approx. - one of my favourite. Others I'm having now - Dark brown Chaigoi, Soragoi, two Ochiba-Shigure, Soragoi (pearl scale), Chaigoi (pearl scale). Looking hard for a good mirror Doitsu Chaigoi of perfect scaling. Cheers. Rdgs, Eric
