Donation Drive to help the Earthquake Victims Can't Post

Hi all Koi friends, I am posting this non koi appreciation topic over here to catch your attention.

I am driving a donation exercise to help the vicitms of the China Earthquake. To date, we had a few hobbyists and a few farms committed to donate some koi for this exercise. One of them is David Soon whose had several koi that won top prize in the recent 1st Asia Koi Show. He will donate 5-10 pieces of his over 60cm collections, each selling at Sing $5000. Those koi were purchased for future Koi show and purchase price were way above the $5K.

Other Koi donors include JK Koi Farm, Sentul Park Koi Farm, Kelvinbay and Weetin. Max Koi farm beside setting aside a viewing pond for David's fish, he will also organise a Showa GO event with 40% of the collection donated.

I had put all the information on the donation drive in http://www.koifriends.com/earthquake/donation.html

I hope to get the support from all of you either as a Koi donors or partipate in the auction or purchase.

I take this opportunity to thank all the Koi donors.

Regards

Re: [koifriends] Donation Drive to help the Earthquake Victims [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi all,

It had been confirmed. Max is organizing a Tosai GO event with 50 Saiki Showa (Dainichi bloodline). I had seen those koi and some of them are quite high quality ranging from 25cm. Each will be sold at $680 with 3 months concrete pond. 40% of the proceeds will be donated. I am hoping to get help within the next few days and take photo of each. As the pond current has more than 80, I will try to get the best 50. See the posting in Singapore location.

I had also seen the 5 Sansai donated by David Soon, each selling at $5000. The 5 koi are : 1 Tancho sanke - 69bu ( Rose Bloodline ) , 1 Sanke - 65bu, 1 showa - 64bu and 2 Kohaku ( 68 & 69 bu ). As when one of the kohaku came to the surface and I had the chance to see it clearly, the skin quality is very good with good beni and shiroji. All have good body and nice pattern. Although I did not see the tancho sanke closely, but understand it has thick tancho and evenly spreaded sumi. It costed David Sing$12K when he purchased it as Nisai. It had not been sent for any show yet and very good potiental. David will bowl another 5 if the above can sell off smoothly. Once I get the photo from Max, I will post them up.

The donation collection is still at $0. I need each and everyone kind heart to bid for the koi in the auction page, or purchase the high quality koi from David (handle by Max) or join the showa GO event.

We need to show the world that we in the koi community also care.

Regards

Re: [koifriends] Donation Drive to help the Earthquake Victims [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi all,

I had attached the photo of David's koi in the link : http://www.koi.com.my/cgi-bin/koiforum/gforum.cgi?post=106863;#106863

Each fish is selling at $5K sing and the money will be donated to the Singapore Red Cross in aid of the china earthquake. Cheque is to make payable to Singapore Red Cross upon purchase.

You can view the fish at Max koi farm.

As mentioned in the earlier post, all the fish are donated by David Soon who koi did very well in the recent 1st Asia Koi Show in Singapore. Those kois that he donated are actually under grooming for future show. All the koi are bought at a price much higher than the $5K set.

We need your support on this donation drive to raise funds for the victims of the China Earthquake.

Regards
