Murata Kohaku Can't Post

Here is my Nisai Kohaku from Murata Koi Farm. The tosai was auctioned at Narita last yr and rearing in mud pond for a year. The photo was taken tonight.

From the picture, there are many ginrin scales. Murata has kohuku same strain as Hasegawa. He won male champion many times in All Japan.

What do you think?

Cheers,

I think Girin is came from bloodline of the fish. For koi show, I don't think it is the big deal since I've seen the superior champion from Nogyosai in 2006 Sanke has lots of girin scale as well.

dont you think that, if there's too much ginrin than it will be disualified or moved to the ginrin classes...?
well, mine's only have a bit though, maybe around 10 scales... not sure... :)

This is the superior champion Nogyosai in 2006. You can see lots of girin scales. I took this photo last Nov when visit at Dainichi.

I like this Kohaku. The ginrin scales actually add some beauty to this Koi in my opinion. The back bone looks obvious, is it an indication of a strong fish (like high back) or is the koi not adding enough mass? I am curious. Is the Koi back to the mud pond or are you keeping it in your house pond now?

Hi Tao,
Very beautiful koi! It has a lot of potential to grow even bigger!
I can't see from the picture angle, does it has high shoulder?

Very good choice of yours! The Fins still look soft even it is a male.
