PLEASE RATE THIS KOHAKU Can't Post
Hi KOI-FRIENDS,

May I ask you a favor? Could you please rate the Kohaku 1 on the attached pix... 1-10? 10 being a perfect score.

Kohaku 2 show a single glitter scale on the body. Would you consider it as a blemish... or lower your rating?

I would rate it a 5.
Pictures are difficult to evaluate skin and color quality from, but the shiroji seems a bit dull.
The body conformation is fairly decent for what appears to be a male Koi. Slender torpedo frame.
The "blemish" area you point out looks more like secondary hi to me as there is a blush of color, but hopefully it will fade.
The biggest demerit I see is the long empty space between the head beni and the 2nd step. It makes the fish look unbalanced from front to back.
It is an attractive pond fish, but not a show fish if that is your goal.
Just my humble opinion.

BTW, I collect koi not for contest or koi show but only as display showroom of my filter system to prospective clients who wants me to design their new pond, most of them are new to the hobby.

Too much white and the hi at the back is not very deep. I give it a 5
