The black of the shiro is dynamically changing as it grows. You probably would have to look at its future beauty. Whether the sumi marking will expand or shrink depend very much on the bloodline of the koi. Some of the shiro have very broad marking but as it grows, this marking will shrink and underlying grey streak will surface as beautiful sumi marking. Some shiro when young is yellowish in colour instead of the white. But if this yellowish colour only appears after you bought the koi, it might be the food you are feeding (too much spirulina) or the condition of the water could be causing this. The white base of all koi depend very much on the water condition. Hope this clarify. If you are not interested in this Koi anymore, maybe you can exchange it with others.
