Hi Jero ,
If I'm not wrong , this is D Sanke Jumbo Tosai . Can't tell the sex from picture actually , but if the certificate says female , it should be female .You can change it with your dealer if it turns out to be male . If it's from selection sales , with sex not gauranteed , then your dealer shuld be able to identify it . Nice beni and sumi . Bodyline is great too .
One basic way to find out is to feel the face and the pectoral fin of your fish . The male will have sand-rough feel on the face/head and pectoral fin , while the female fish is smooth , but sometime the slime can be misleading . Another way is to check the anus of the fish . This will take you awhile on this check . Don't suggest you use this method as you might accidentally squeeze out the bladder . Bigger fish are always easier to check . For beginner , you can try on your 50 cm fish . For female , the anus shuld feel lumpy , while the male is flat or slightly sunken in . These are basics. Hope it helps more than it confused..
If you allow some of the forum friends like Handy or Snowy to feel your fish , they will be able to tell you the sex of the fish straight away !! .......... just kidding guys .
