I've another Asagi for you to comment.

It is about 74cm the last time I measured on August'02.

The photo is a little dark though.

Raymond, nice! at 70++ cm and retaining that shape, must congratulate you. You seem to have a collection of good looking kois. Perhaps, the next pond viist after Kevin's can be at your place.

Thank you everyone for your sincere comments...

I bought this Asagi at about 50cm 1 1/2 years ago and now it is 74cm. It grew very rapidly.I have another Asagi more or less the same size too. They are both equally good.To answer your question Jitwee, I bought it from Zen Watergarden by just looking at the photo. As for the other asagi, I got it from Cheras Aquarium.I personally like asagi very much especially the very good ones. Hwong, it would be great if I could join you guys visiting member's koi pond.Unfortunately, I'm overseas now. Will be back some time next year.To be frank to you, not all my kois are nice. I bought some lousy kois when I first started this hobby mainly due to lacking experience. As for some of the good ones I bought, they either jump out of the pond or die of dieases. It is really painful to see nice kois die. But for the poorer quality kois, they tend to grow without problems:) Frown Just weeks ago, one of my 68cm Shusui died of gill problems. We gotta accept the fact that these kois will not last for a very long time :) .....I'll post my pond's photos later...when I'm free :) HAPPY KOI KEEPING :)

Hi Raymond

After seeing your Asagi, I dare not post pics of mine. Cannot compare!Tongue Yours is so good looking. The orange is so well spread out and the grey netting is so uniformed! Almost perfect to the hilt! Good for you. Must have cost you an arm and a leg to get this one.

Johnson,

Not really, it is not as expensive as you think. I was just lucky to purchase this koi at about 50cm for a decent price. However, the actual orange pattern is not a dark as shown in the photo. It is the photo quality or ligthing that makes it looks darker.I'm grateful that this koi grew really fast and the body shape is superb for now.
