To tell you the truth after looking again it reminds me somewhat of another fish that has been debated on a few other forums. Soragoi (muji) and Nezu Ogon (metallic) are solidly gray, while this one has a dark dorsal pattern which breaks cleanly at the lateral line with a more white belly. The break is similar to an Asagi, but the color is gray rather than blue and there is no beni. If the gray scales were better defined (outlined in white) it would likely be classified as Sumi Nagashi. As it stands it is an interesting "One Off" that shows some of the primitive genetics of the original Koi foundation appearance. I have a few young fish which carry some of those traits as well. It doesn't make them bad fish. Just "unique" and outside the normal definitions used to bench standard breeds, which places them in the Kawarimono category. Here is an example of one of my primitives. It is a young Bekko with immature Sumi Nagashi scales. Poor pictures, but it gives you an idea of the white outline of the darker scale centers I mentioned.
