is it acceptable for a hi utsuri to have white on the sides,i wouldn t have thogh so, been thinking about i getting one,saw these two on ebay , the one with white is actually higher but i would have thought the other was better , so much to learn about the types
HWONG is rite.... it's a Showa. BUT a DAMN nice traditional showa at that! Never mind that you get the names wrong, all your kois are pretty good really.....
see , i messed up again , i really liked the one with the white , i told him i thought that made it a showa,but he claimed no , thing was i thought for a showa to be good it had to have white on the tail face and body , so i didn t get it,thinking it was a bad showa , or a really really bad hi utsuri , i should have got it just because i liked it , thats the way i usally do anyway , oh well
i did get this ogata 12 inch female koi showa ,i liked but here again , i didn t like it as well as the one pictured in the starting post,then he asked if for another 20 dollars if i wanted the one in bottom pic (of this post also ), i said ok to that , so i just now got these two,the 12 inch female is top picture (not a good pic)he sent me a copy of the invoice , they'er ogata graded a-aa not the best but ok i guess,i figure the female might carry some good genes (hopefully)

All young Showas.... They will change dramatically as they grow. Better to get one with more heavy red colouration and not too much black for showa. The red will 'shrink' and the black will 'grow' in most cases....
