Hi New,

From the photo of kohaku, I like the second one more because it has nice pattern and body confirmation is very good. I think the hi of the first kohaku between sholder and head is a little bit blur.

Anyway good luck with your hobby
Cheers

Re: [new] kohaku, sanke and dainichi showa [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi new,

a very good start for a beginner like you with 3 nice koi. I like the kohaku of all 3 and it's a good buy, nice 5 steps with good Hi and shiroji (snow white), good body proportion except a little slim. Feed them with quality growth and colour enhancer food to have deeper Hi and better body volume. i believe with great care and good water management, this koi should turn out to be a great beauty.

do you know the size, age of those koi and from which farm?

Cheers...

Re: [new] kohaku, sanke and dainichi showa [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi new,

The kohaku looks like a huge fish in the future to me based on its features. The are a sizeable amount of sashi and would be interesting to see how much would it "keep" or cover up. Do you mind sharing the bloodline of this koi ? BTW, did this koi scratched her head lately ? (between the head and shoulder) How old is this koi ? Looks like 1 to 1.5 years old to me and could potentially be a female.

hope to hear from you soon.

If that is not a scratch mark then it might "open" when it grows bigger. Let's hope it will close. Perhaps feeding more colour food might help.
