Hi Guys,

I bought this 5 step kohaku last Dec. from a local dealer and it was only 21cm, now at tosai it measure 42cm.

Very good skin and deep color, red and white also very good, fantastic growth also.
If it has more in volume no more comment needed.

Hi j.j.,

From my opinion, I think this fish has nice pattern and good hi quality but it might be a male as the body look a little bit thin. Anyway male fish can turn in nice body with good water quality, food and lot of oxygen.

I am now feeding her S21 high protein food every morning and saki hikari growth food in the evening, hopefully she will put on some body volume.

Hi Yotti,

Erm...your guess is wrong lor, the koi dealer confirm it's a female. Although the body lacks volume but don't forget she is still a very yong fish. At the moment she is kept at dealer's pond and is well taken care of with lots of high grade koi food.

Hi JJ,
May be I am wrong, I am sorry. If she is a female, she has a very good hi indeed. In my county most of the dealer tell their customer all fish is female as their prices is higher.

The kohaku you've got has a good body shape, deep hi, snow white.. The contrast of the hi and shiro is great!! just wondering, we're you located?

thanks for your comment. this kohaku is from kondo koi farm and they do produced some high quality kohaku, sanke and showa.

i am from the tropical island of Singapore, hope to see some of your koi collections in this forum soon.
