Koifun Sly, the water looks very clear and the koi colours are vibrant. Can't see individual koi clearly due to water ripples but I'm sure you have a beautiful collection. WinkSly

    Dr. Tan

Thanks for your nice words. The pond water has been good since I introduced the glass settlement tower as seen in the picture. It effectively filters off debris b4 entering the biofilter. The kois are nice as far as my standard but may not be comparable with yours or Aaron's as I know most ppl here spent a good deal to money to buy good kois.

    Aaron,

My pond is a small DIY of may be 2 tons water. I will consider upgrading to a bigger one may be a few years later subject to 2 basic conditions as follow:

    1. My interest in keeping kois grow further or at least not diminished.

    2. Other priority in life has been met.

    Hi koifun
is this your inground Fg tank or you have built another pond cause at 2 tons, it should be a 8ft x 4 ft tank.
anyway you ahve nice kois down there and at 55 cm is actually quite big.

    Hi, Mat

Not so fast lah, I only have this pond for less than a year. I am still learning everyday from all the expert here. Like I said, if my priority in life is met, I will go for a bigger pond since land space is not a problem. I estimate this will be another 5 to 6 years.

However, if I am not making a bigger pond and the kois are growing up, I have no choice but to reduce the population down there and perhaps also exchange for better quality kois in time to come.

The 55cm girin showa is very tame and playful koi - one of the bold one besides the green chagoi. I play with them almost every morning - like my companion. Hehe...Cool

    Sly
