Hi bosen,

Nice scalation... but a shusui should have a clear head Smile

Cheers,

Hi bosen,

Nice Shusui with scalation running from the shoulder to tail tube. Scalation along both sides of the
dorsal fin on Shusui should be evenly balance to bring out the beauty of the koi.

I assume that there are Hi appearing on the right side of the pectoral fin, am I right? If it did,
then the Motoaka ( i.e. Hi on the base of the pectoral fins ) and Doh Hi ( i.e. Hi on the body )
are ideally position

The appreciation for a beautiful facial design is constantly evolving. I think hobbyists are always
on the lookout for that particular unique head facial pattern which will makes it that distinctive
a Shusui when compared to others.

The demerit point which I notice in this Shusui is the ' Mudagoke " ( i.e. scales that disturb the beauty
of the even scalation along both sides of the dorsal fin ) You may notice the appearance of Mudagoke
on the right side of the shoulder ( just next to the end of the gill plate ) Hopefully the underlying Mudagoke
on the left side may appear in future to balance out the over all body scalation.

Lastly, ' size ' is important in any koi varieties. Try to build up the volume and girth for this Shusui and
you may have a show quality Shusui in the next couple of years.
Thank you.

Best Regards,
Thiam Hwa

Re: [thiamhwa] sakai shusui [In reply to] Can't Post

hi thiamhwa ,,

thnks for the input..Wink
honestly i choose this shusui, cause of unique pattern on the head and also the growth ofthe fish, looking at the certificate the age of the fishc is about 1 1/2 yr and measuring at 53cm.( as i know for a shusui variety this is agood growth ) dont u think so ?
the koi has only been in my pond for less than a month ,hopefully in time with proper feeding she grows bigger and have
good body. cause to me when koi have good body, it will looks a lot better.Smile

thnks
andi
