Are these koi eggs? Can't Post

Hello,

A few days back I found a lot of sticky transparent things in our pond filter.
I took a look at some egg photos on the internet, like this one: http://www.koi.com.my/cgi-bin/koiforum/gforum.cgi?do=post_attachment;postatt_id=4336.
The problem is, the things in my filter don't really look like those, I tried to make a drawing of them.
It looks something like this:

Are these eggs? Or do you think it might be something else?

We had a lot of those before, but they never hatched.

I'll try to take a picture of the real thing tomorrow.

Im not sure but I have had tanks with snails in them with no problem so I am thinking they wont hurt anything, alot of pet shops sell snails to put in tanks with tropicals, also when you buy live plants they are on the plants. I dont think they will hurt anything.

My koi are all chasing each other, males are pushing the belly of the females, lot of activity in the pond, but my koi don't seem to spawn at all...

Do you have any spawning ropes or plants with long roots in your pond. They need this to attach their eggsSmile You may also want to separate the spawning pair. Egg laying could take hours, so make sure you're there when it's over coz koi will start eating their eggs.

Good luck.

Jon

Yes, I'm using a long spawning rope, no luck so far..
I might try separating them.
