About 2 years ago a built my pond and only in the last six months have i added koi, and within two months on a sunday morning i went out to see my koi going mental and a few of them sporning. Not knowing what to do i let the sporn, now i have lots of black koi and a few coloured ones. I was wondering if theses will change colour?
Rare for them to spawn gosh no. Rare for the spawn to survive is not too rare also but it all depends on how many koi you have and how hungry they are. The fish will eat the eggs and the fry and if they are hungry you might not end up with too many babies.
