I will try and help here. Fertile eggs are clear and jelly in color. If you look closely, you will see a black dot inside. Those are the fishes eyes. Dead eggs are the white ones and you may notice that some of the white eggs look like they have fungus on them. All of these should be taken out. It's going to be difficult because they're going to be mixed in with the fertile eggs. Most of your eggs if left in the pond will be eaten by all the other fish, and some will be drawn into your filtration system. The others will just lay at the bottom and rot! If you want to try and raise some of them. Get a very large container such as a medicating tank. Put pond water in it, get some mild aeration going and gather up some of the breeding medium with eggs on them. Place this in the container. Get some Methelyne blue (or some other anti-fungal medication) and put a mild solution of it in the tank for disinfection purposes. They should start hatching within a week or two. Cross your fingers! SLOWLY remove the breeding medium (because fry's may get caught in it) and the dead eggs after about 10 days. That should be sufficient time for the eggs to hatch. Slowly replace about 10% of the water (with dichlorinated or pond water) every couple of days. Not more than that because fry's are very succeptible to PH and Temperature changes and will die easily. You can setup a small filtration system using a small pump. You don't want a very powerful pump because it will suck in your fry's. You must devise a way to keep the fry,s from getting near this pump. Once they hatch, they can be feed with some yoke from a boiled egg. Feed VERY LITTLE of it at a time because it will rot if left in the water. Fry's do not need much of it to eat. Regarding your pond. It would be a good idea to keep checking your water parameters. You may find your PH and Ammonia levels fluctuating. It happens whenever fish breeds and your pond may start smelling like rotten eggs after a while. I would also do some water changes. Flush out your filter often and keep the bottom of the pond clean until everything stabilizes. Congrats! Best Regards Bran A Koi Pond is never FINISHED, it's always subject to improvement. Drives the Spouse Crazy!
