Gold Fish or Kio ? Can't Post

Well it looks like I have finally got our water right as last sunday we where shocked to find fry swimming around the edge of the pool. It's hard to tell how many we have but I am guessing between 200 - 400.

Problem is seeing as we did not even know there was eggs in the pool we are not sure if they are gold fish or Kio to be honest. They are however growing at one hell of a rate. Last sunday they where around 1/2 inch or smaller 5 days later they are around 1 inch long.

They all seem to be a dark grey colour but have a strange orange spot 1/2 way down their side. Along the back as well is a silver line which I assume is their spine but could be wrong. As they are growing they do seem to be getting lighter in colour.

In the pool there are only a few Kio as we lost a lot due to bad water and a bloody heron. The largest of the kio is 2 Kio about 10 inchs long but I must admit I thought they could be too young. There is also in the pool about a dozon goldfish which I put in while I sorted out the filter system etc and planned to replace the kio I lost once everything was ok again. The goldfish are about 2 years oldbut quite large as gold fish go.

Could it be possible that the Kio have breed ? Is there any way of telling fry apart from goldfish and kio ?
If it is the kio both me and my wife will be so happy.
