Yesterday (April 17) some of our "fry" have hatched! We are so happy being this is our first time dealing with baby Koi. Last Friday, my b/f and I took the females with eggs, out of the pond with a male, put them in the spawning tank and now we have life fry swimming about the tank. I hope we do good and keep a few alive to raise to be adults.
Some of the eggs have white hair growning on them. Is is normal? We are thinking they will never hatch, but if that is the case, we still have lots more to deal with. Every day when we come home from work, we check up on our fry like good parents we hope to be.
