IDENTIFYING MALE AND FEMALE, CAN IT BE DONE AT 5 INCH? Can't Post
well to identify male or female, you can check gill cover to see if its rough (male) or if the fins are round (female) also isnt there one about how porportionate the fins are according to body? anyway my question is can these be checked at when the koi are still a tad young, about 5 inches?

5 inches is still very young they are still considered a fingerling, but i seriously doubt you can tell 100% sure. You really cant tell what sex the koi is until they are bigger.
