Hello,
The fry will be of different varieties and colors, depending on the genes of both parent koi. Just like us that have dominant and recessive genes, the fish are the same. However, I have read that to have an increased chance of success for breeding specific varieties, it is best to use fish of the same type (i.e. what you used, 2 tanchos) so that you have a better chance to have more of them.

Good luck!
