I hope this helps some..I 'm kinda a newbie here...one of my kois laid eggs the other day..they were a bit darker than yours..so I dont know about the fertilized...but take them out right away..the others and the one laying them will eat them..mine tryed!
My started to hatch about 2 days later..I am still having them hatch as I write...they are so little I had to look at them under a scope! Its fun huh! I'm so protective my husband is traveling this week and I didnt go just to stay home and protect and watch them! lol

Hey Snowfireballs,

My kois spawned a couple weeks ago and now I have a bunch of fry. I took the hyacinths right out of the pond and into a tub filled with the original pond water and on the 5th-7th day they hatched.

Take the hyacinths out of the pond because the other koi will most likely eat the eggs.

Those look to be fertile, and infertile eggs will look completely white and start to mold so you'll want to take them out when you see them. Do water changes everyday, by changing the water with your pond water. Green Water is good since they eat the algae too. I didn't change my water for a few days and the ammonia and nitrate spiked and I lost around 100, so keep an eye on ammonia and nitrate.

You'll also want to look into getting some sort of food source for them such as live brine shrimp, they sell premade packets with salt and eggs that you simply pour water and then they hatch.

Oh! and to keep the oxygen up, use and airpump, but make sure it's not too strong that it just pushes the little fry around. Don't use a filter since they'll get sucked up in it.

GOOD LUCK!!!! What do the father(s) and mother(s) look like?

Dear snowfireballs

It's hard to say if they are all fertile as time will tell.

but if the males have stopped chasing her then yes remove them to the hatchery before they start eating them.

They take about a week to hatch depending on the weather temp of water.

When you put them in your hatchery add some metholine blue to the water follow the instructions. It's an anti-fungus, any unfertile eggs will go fuzzy and can infect the ones around them metholine blue will retard the growth of fungus.

Do regular water changes. use pond water to do these and you won't have to feed the babys for a couple of weeks.

When you do start feeding them rember little and offten and stuff they can eat don't be giving them crumpled up adult fish foods. Get a brine shrimp hatcher or some daphnia from a safe souce. If you have a tub you can keep daphnia (water flees) for 2 weeks and it will be safe as long as no other fish have come into contact with them.

Dear carla1119

if you have an aquatic shop near by, they should sell it as an anti-fungus remedy. Tell them it's for your eggs they should point you in the right direction.

Most chemists or drug stores will sell it but this dosen't come with instructions.

Most of the time it's added to formaldihyde, but don't try mixing them.... so many peramitors you need to know.

Best to just get it readymade and follow the instructions on the packet.

Yellow sounds good. Whent hey turn white they are bad. More than 90% of my koi eggs were white and started to smell bad but there were some that were clear and they hatched
