Hi everyone,

Can anyone describe if the KOI are mating. What are the signs... or movement that we have to look for. I am not sure if one of my KOI is pregnant because now quite often a few KOI seems to be following it around and seems to be dancing once in a while.

well i want to know the signs too, but dont be too sure coz sometimes the timid koi will like follow the braver koi. that is what i have experienced. in a pack there will be like a leader or the bravest koi and the other will follow behind it. but dancing? :)
probably your kois have some sort of celebrations ? Wink

Andy,
If koi is ready to spawn, you will notice the male koi, following the female, nudging her pushing her aside against the pond wall.thats the sign to enduce spawning. then, you have to move the pregnant koi with two male on a separate pond and put spawning matt or any clean stringy sof materials. i.e mop head,or long string algea.
