My fries was dead, help.....	Can't Post

Hi All..., I have a very bad news. All of my fries on second spawning was dead. All..., no one alive. I don't know why. They dead yesterday. In the morning, they look healthy. At 09.00, I fed them a duck egg. At 13.00, I look some of them dead. I think, they need fresh water, so I change 10% of water with fresh water. At the afternoon, about 17.00, I surprised when look all of my fries was dead. Hope your advis, friend. I am very very sad now, coz I love them.

Ari,

I am so sorry to heard about your losses. Unsure

Could it be water problem? please check the water parameter.

Or could it be the duck egg? have you feed them with duck egg before?

Maybe the egg have some minerals that are poisonous for the fries.

You still have your first spawn my friend, so cheer up please....

Hi Ari,

I too feel sorry for your lost. Unsure

If your fries were alive before you feed them with duck eggs, could it be that the duck egg might have killed them. How was the water temp???

Thanks Ricky and Jon...., Yes... you right. It could be the duck egg. Cos, they died before I fed them with it. Water temperatur is about 25 - 30 deg. But, a day before, rain fall hardly. Ok..., it's my good experience in koi. Experience was expensive, wasn't it? You right, my friends, I still have first spawn. And, they look growing well. Now, they are 2 months old with size about 3 inc. I've update their pictures in the last post.

Hi there. I too lost all my fries except five. They were fine untill we had a thunder storm one night with torrential rain. The five left are now indoors in a tank so I can keep an eye on them. Its very dis-heartening but I'll try again next year. Good luck with your next batch !
