New Fries in the pond! Not expected! Can't Post

Hello all, I have had a pond for a while in my backyard. Pretty good size, but this year I notice small fries in the pond. Wasn't planning on breeding but seems to have happened...

I am not sure how many are there... my pond has a lot of vegitation in it so there are plenty of places for the littles guys to hide. They seem to be doing well, and getting alond with the larger fish... Is there anything I should do besides let nature take its course? I can tell that some seem to be a couple of inches long and other seem to be about half an inch long. Not sure if this is one hatch or two?

So, I am excited to have some new fish in my pond, but want to make sure they do alright...

If you can take them out of the main pond and put them in a pool to them selves it would be better, If you recirculate the water from the main pond back to the fry pool all with work out good for you. Make sure you put a good bunch of plants in the pool with them for some cover so it wont stress them to much, they are used to a lot of plants.

How many do you think you have? Anyways make sure you clean the pool good and wash with a good dishwashing liquid and then maybe add a little bleach maybe a cap full and wash down very good and rince well making sure there is not soap or anything in the pool, fill with the pond water and transfer the water back into the main pond. Watch out for Tobies as this is fry that outgrow the others and will eat the smaller fry, If you notice a lot of your fry gone it is from the Tobies, I have had good luck with fry in my main pond and the bigger fish did not eat them. Get you a seperate pool for the tobies.

Good luck with the fry.
