STIMULATE EGG PRODUCTION

Good morning all I have many mature female koi in my pond (21k). It is Feb. and I still see no signs of them swelling. Will there gravidity be apparent to the naked eye or is it to early for them to be showing? Is it possible that they are not producing eggs at all? My pond is 6 feet deep with straight sides and a smooth bottom. I am curious to know whether the females may require some form of visual stimulation such as artificial bottom debris to enduce them to begin the reproduction process or if this is even nessesary. Is it possible that they may begin to show later in the year? Any thoughts, let me know. Thanx, Kiefer KIEFER
