STRESS KOI DON'T SPAWN ???? Can't Post
Hi all,

It's been 3 days I put my 53 cm female kin ginrin showa full of eggs, 51 cm male showa and a 43 cm male bekko in 120 cm x 50 xm height FG tank. While they were in the pond, the male seems very attractive chasing the female. But now in the FG tank they seems very stress, seldom move and do nothing. Every time I get close to them they all looking very nervous and swim like hell. They don't even eat. Please koi sifu advice what I should do ? Does the FG tank size sufficient for them ? I put 2 mophead rope in it. Is it enough ? Will they spawn in these conditions ?

Hello lucky.

U should post a message that u will place a pic on the koi appreciation page so that people can see the size of your tank. I think that the size of spawning tank doeas matter. After all, who wants to make love in a hammock when you've just left a suite with a kingsize bedWink

I have used an 8 foot show tank, and it has served me well. I also keep it well aireated. and do daily water changes. I do not fill the show tank, only 20 or 22 inches....about 350...400 gallons I'd say.

120 cm is the diameter. Too small ? I will attached pictures in koi appreciation immediately.

Hi Keifer,

Maybe that's the problems. Who want to make love in jail ???? Except they have been there for quite sometimes. Can't hold no more ??Unsure. I'll attached the pictures in koi appreciation ASAP. Actually the FG Tank is for quarantine purposes, not for spawningBlush. I just wonder if it will work.
