Hi Jarvis, Found these two links talking about the baking soda...check them out..Really my pond is 279 gallons......I don't know how many gallons yours is... Be sure to check your PH before you begin this...it just might be alright...Please check it first.....but, you could use the same amount, just do it every hour or so until the PH reaches the correct number Better to be safe than sorry, unless someone else comes along with a better answer for you on your gallons.. But, put some pond water in a bucket, and dissolve well 1/4 a cup of baking soda..pour along "half" of the solution around the edges..then wait and hour or so check your PH and then if need be, pour the rest of the bucket along the other side of the edges of the pond..that is what I did...don't want your PH too high...so, do it slowly so you don't shock your fish... Oh, check your PH first before you start.. Also, you asked me how old my ogon was..she is three years old and first time I've seen her spawn...in my bigger pond I have a two year old male that spawn w/the females this year... This is my third year of raising frys... Let me know how you come out Jarvis Good Luck....are your fish swollen w/eggs obviously?
