WHEN IS THE RIGHT TIME? Can't Post
when is the right time for my fishes to mate? Do koi fish like cold weather, hot weather, rainy seasons? Please tell me. I am still waiting and my fishes so no sign of spawning. Maybe a little play around in the afternoon for 10 seconds though.

it depends on where you are. -- It's usually late spring for me (Late April/early May in the mid-atlantic USA).

it will usually start in the early hours of the morning and continue until about 10 AM. Are you planning on fully breeding your fish or are you just hoping they "get they groove on"? If you're just hoping for them to make some babies, you're probably out of luck. They're pretty good at finding the eggs in the pond and eating 'em up. Good Luck, though!

i'm actually planning on breeding them myself. by putting them in a tank and stuff and let them spawn. But what if they don't mate when i put them in? how am i suppose to know when i can breed them?

as far as i know, they seem to like warm water.

Yes, you are right, koi like warm water and feel urge to play in the early morning. Separate 3 males with a female in a breeding tank conditioned for breeding
